Moving into a new home can be a very stressful activity because of all the packing, lifting and hard work. Luckily we don't remember all this pain once we are settled into our new home. I remember just how painful my most recent move was in August 2006. We didn't know where to start, or whom to ask for help moving all the big furniture. So our last resort was to have my parents-in-law who live across town to come over and help us out.
Days before the big move came, we made sure that everything we needed was well packed, and the things that we did not need was given away. We tried to load the larger items first and appliances inside the rental truck. When that all is done, we found out that there was no space for other stuff so we had to give away some of our furniture to a neighbor. It was so much of a headache; not only we were moving our entire home but also moving a quite distance across the town in the summer time when every days was a hundred and ten degrees.
It has now over 5 years since we moved into our new house. The suffering we all endured those days is long forgotten. Dealing with the stress of moving is the last thing I want to deal with; I hope not to move again for at least a few more years.
