True Meaning of a Thanksgiving Day is to be Grateful

Thanksgiving Day is my most favorite holiday of all because I get to be with my family. Since Thanksgiving Day always falls on my days off what more could I ask for? plus I get paid double the day of Thanksgiving Day and the black Friday. Awesome right?

Anyways, as a Filipino living in US for over 13 years now, I have embraced this American Holiday. Thanksgiving Day is a day where I need to remind myself how much blessings in life that I and my family have received. For that reason, not only I am so thankful for this special Thanksgiving Day, I am also thankful throughout the years that me and my family has received and will continue to receive a lot of blessing coming from above.

Every moment that I am able to spend my time with my husband (I wish I could also spend my time with my family back in the Philippines) and my step-son J, I am so grateful because of them they make my life filled with happiness. Time is very sensitive and I don't take my family for granted. My family back home in the Philippines although they are very far away from me, I am so thankful that God did not stop to shower them with lots of blessings.

I am so grateful myself too because of my great health I am able to work and received those monetary funds and are able to share some to my beloved family especially my parents who are now not in a good health-wise condition. Also, I am grateful to be able to help three children to high school. Let me take it back, three teenager were dropped out of school and now because of my help two are graduating high school next year.

So to me Thanksgiving Day not just being thankful for the turkey you have on your table but to be thankful for everything that you are healthy, have a shelter, being able to pay bills, being able to eat meals 3 times a day, have a job, family and friends that cares for you. So cheers to all of you and hopefully you had a nice wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
