I thought of sharing my experiences of changing my diets and how It shows promising results. This is just the beginning and I am hoping to beat the odds.
In 2008, I got hired into a job that requires a sedentary working condition of which totally opposite of my previous job which requires me to move around so much that a 1 minute pause was a quite relief. So my body needs to get used to sitting down 10 hours a day 4 days a week.
After being one year on my sedentary job, I felt something changed. I felt sluggish and don't have strength or I was not motivated to do anything at all. After a while, I had been taking notice that each time after a small or a big meals I felt pain or somewhat rather feeling slightly uncomfortable. Well, I didn't think of anything bad about it. I just ignored it for a quiet sometimes. I just thought that It could be just my digestive system were not fast enough to digest the food that I just gobbled down.
Well after many months of suffering, I begun to think that there was really something that wasn't right in my guts. I have got to go see a doctor. I didn't feel right or normal anymore. So I made an appointment and finally were seeing my General Practitioner doctor. She then referred me to a Gastroenterologist Specialist.
My first visit was basically an interview why I was there. The second visit, they took a stool and blood test, urinalysis, ultra sound and I was given a prescription samples of Aciphex and Align Pro-biotic. I went home and started taking the so-call GERD pills. After a week, I got a call from my stomach doctor saying that I was positive with H. Pylori. Hmmmm.. I was thinking they just made it up! But I went back and pick up my prescriptions and went straight to Walgreen's anyways. I was shock to find out that these pills weren't cheap and was not covered by my insurance.
I called back my stomach doctor's office and told them that there was no way I could afford to pay for $350 for the prescription medicine. The receptionist then told me that my doctor will provide medicine for free for my 2 weeks regimen.
I then started taking the pills and after 2 weeks, I still feel the same. No changes whatsoever! I went back again, they did an ultra-sound. I was given another samples of GERD pills in different names so called Prilosec for 10 days and there were no changes. Went back and got Nexium for 10 days, went back again this time I got prevacid, and again with no changes. I got Protonix and again with negative result. I had almost given up! I was getting sick of being sick or rather getting tired of being sick and tired! My gastroenterologist could not figured it out what is wrong with my guts.
